It was founded in 2008 by Renate Craft.
Renate is from Germany and, following her move to the U.S. in 1998, she desired to introduce a source for the highest quality down bedding from Europe.
In that pursuit, she became the distributor in the U.S. for Ringsted Dun from Denmark and Hans Kruchen from Germany. Ringsted Dun provides down bedding to the Danish Royal Family and now, to quality-minded customers in the US! The Craft family is very proud of its association with Ringsted Dun and Hans Kruchen, for their products are environmentally conscious, and human rights and animal welfare standards (cruelty free down) are thoroughly respected.

Renate and her husband Stephen travel regularly to Europe to meet existing business partners, as well as to find dedicated new suppliers for their range of specialty offerings. Those suppliers are long standing, efficient family businesses as well who contribute to the entire product line that meets the recognized worldwide standard Oeko-Tex 100. In addition, their company offers different bedding and duvet cover sizes that are uniquely pleasing to European customers, and not always easy to find in the U.S. market. For that, customers now can also find high quality duvet covers Made in Germany, Oeko Tex certified. Renate started to cooperate with the family owned company Braendl, Germany in 2010 and with that, it is now possible to order custom made duvet covers and pillows - in any color, in any size.
